Most athletes use twitter to give the fans a glimpse of their lives and a way to connect with them. On June 17, 2009 Kevin Love broke the news about Kevin McHale being fired as head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves. He later said he wasn't aware that the public had not yet been informed about Mchale's firing. While I think players shouldn't disclose information that the organization doesn't want the public to know, I think it's cool when players give their opinions on actions taken by the team and the league. It brings you closer to your favorite players and lets you know about them rather than them just being looked at as idols and entertainers. While some coaches hate players using twitter, it is a great way to draw more interest from the fans.
