2010 Super Bowl Technology - Cowboys Stadium

The super bowl will be contested in Dallas this year at the "house that Jerry built." The 80 or so yard high def video board to awe the crowd and even tv viewers isn't the only new technology being used in the super bowl this year. Technology will be a large part in how the super bowl will be run this year.

"Using standard GPS technology, the league now tracks team buses and limousines and cars carrying officials and VIPs. NFL staff monitors the progress on video screens and can notify security and other personnel when vehicles are about to arrive at their destinations"

To boost security, the NFL is also boosting the technology of credentials. "
The NFL has also added radio-frequency identification (RFID) chips to some Super Bowl credentials for added security."
