Mark Warkentein, the nuggets former General Manager, had a strong relationship with Carmello Anthony. He has been a top prospect for the top consultant job at the Knicks for months now, and now he has just been hired. When Carmello was interviewed about the new hiring, he was surprised to hear about it and replied with "Did they? Is that surprising? Yeah. As far as I'm concerned, I guess thats a great addition to that organization."
The post reported on Aug 4th that Warkentein could be in line for a Kincks GM job and he had a preliminary interview with walsh in the summer of 2009 for the vacated job that has never been filled.
This seems to be all leading up to a potential move from Denver to New York for Carmello Anthony. There is still a lot of moving parts to this deal and it is also still the middle of the season but there is definately momentum moving towards the New York Knicks acuiring the hard sought after talents of Carmello Anthony.
