This year's the 2010 Pipe Master was in memory of Andy Irons, a three-time world surfing champion. But this isn't the only thing that will stick in your memory when looking back at this event. This year was the first year for a European native to win Billabong's Pipe Master and who would be better than Jeremy Flores. Up against Kieren Perrow, Flores fought all the way to finals which put him up against Kelly Slater. In the final round Slater made the mistake of letting Flores steal a wave- one he claimed was his to take. "It was a little mistake. I didn't think the wave was great, but I heard he rode it great," - Slater. This wave put Flores above Slater with an overall score of 14.54.
