After LeBron opted to create the "super" team down in Miami, there is no wonder why Orlando Magic GM Otis Smith worries that Dwight Howard might take his contract somewhere else to create his own powerhouse in two years. At the beginning of the season, Howard expressed his desire to remain with the team, but Smith can't help but feel anxiety that his organization will face the stress that the Denver Nuggets have over Carmelo Anthony's contract. An uncited source stated that Howard mentioned seeing the LA Lakers in his future, but there is no certainty to this statement. If players were to continue to create these "super" teams, it will result in a loss of competition within the league. The point of professional sports is the excitement of rivalries and rematches between teams. It would become boring if the same teams were dominant each year. However, Smith does state that if Howard wishes to leave the Magic, they will be able to get a fair trade for him.
